KMail and editing distribution lists

Thanks for the reply Kevin, however I'm sorry to say that I'm none the wiser 
because the distribution lists aren't displayed in Kontact along with the 
other names and addresses.

I can reach the addressbook from KMail's  "tools" menu, as you suggest, but 
that's all.
