well I have done, but none of these hints google gave me solved my problem.
but as i found out it seems to be a problem with xorg and not with kde
communication, i shall go to another list, asking there...
despite you know how i can solve the access problem in a secure and easy to
use way, any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. when i change the
permissions of /root/.xauth... file so that the user can access it, everything
works, but i do not think this is a good and intended way.
sre at re001:~/Documents/procedures> ssh -X re003
Enter passphrase for key '/home/sre/.ssh/id_rsa':
Last login: Thu Jul 7 08:05:34 2005 from re001.intern
Have a lot of fun...
/usr/X11R6/bin/xauth: creating new authority file /home/sre/.Xauthority
re003 being added to access control list
sre at re003:~> sux
Password:
re003:/home/sre # echo $DISPLAY
localhost:10.0
re003:/home/sre # xauth list
re003/unix:10 MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 54e0f3180be6f0f911cb086b4b6a56b8
re003:/home/sre # sux fjr
re003 /home/sre> xauth list
xauth: timeout in locking authority file /root/.xauthhtc3CH
re003 /home/sre> xauth add re003/unix:10 MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1
54e0f3180be6f0f911cb086b4b6a56b8
xauth: timeout in locking authority file /root/.xauthhtc3CH
kind regards
