Why GTK+ will prevail, and what needs to be done

GTK+ is written in C, that's its main API, but nevertheless it is OO.
They needs some extra functions and macros to add do it as the language itself 
doesn't provide OO features, but their language bindings use the respective 
languages OO features when possible.
