konqueror/fish with small file sizes

I dont know if this will help jason but it might; I can see ways that it could 
dependent on how the slaves are designed.
In the settings/ configure- konqueror under appearance there is a tick box for 
displaying files in bytes (as distinct from kb). Try changing that.
