printing two or more pages at one side

Hi list, 
 
i have a problem printing pdf documents while looking at it embedded in 
konqueror or using kghostview. i am using cups for printing. the printer 
is a canon ir3100cn. if i use acrobat reader or xpdf i can print out more 
than one page at a side of a sheet. 
 
i am using suse 9.1, and the kde 3.3.2a rpm's for this distribution. 
 
don't know wheather it relates to this bug:

so if it is a known bug/behaviour, is there a way around it?
