Konqueror strange behaviour

It does sound like it doesn't it. If something was crashing konq and you had 
it set to always keep a preloaded instance then it would show that behaviour 
with the changing pids but it would not I think keep trying to load the 
crashing url.

As to the reply that kde has it listed as a bug-wish that suggests that it is 
a configuration problem on their computers. If it was a genuine bug then kde 
would not have it listed as a wish. Is there anything special on the pages 
that are causing this (java flash anything) The quoted url just times out so 
I cant check.
