dvd automount

KDE 3.4.3
When I stick media in the dvd drive it automounts, puts an icon on the desktop and launches Konqueror. Normally these are desired events but something I don't want when it's a movie dvd.
With a movie dvd I want to close the dvd drawer and not have anything happen until I start xine with the remote.
Is there any way to selectively turn automount off for dvd video?
