kde-3.5 and recognising jpg's

I had the same problem but with mpegs and avis which was driving me mad
because the file associations were being set outside of KDE with mime
associations (can't remember exactly in /usr/share it was). I go to
change the association in KDE and still the microsoft avi icon is being
shown for the files instead of the cool KDE file preview. I found out
that you have to change the way the associated file is handled through
the cxsetup application. Just go to bottle setup and click on the
bottle that contains the software with the association. Click on the
associations tab, and for each association click ignore. I prefer using
KDE to set up and keep existing file associations.
