kde automounting of disks

Hi, I have a problem with kde-automounting... It works when I plug in my
disk via usb, however when I connect it via firewire, I don't get that
what do you want to do dialog! this really sucks :/

another problem too, is that when I mount it with usb, it gets mounted
as /meda/sda1.
This isn't very dynamic, so I heard about pmount-hal and tried that, but
that mounts it as /media/usbdisk. Is there a way for me to change what
name pmount-hal uses? I would like it to be called a unique name, so I
can point a link to it. also it would be great if that name was the same
for both usb and firewire!
