Dragging and dropping text, how?

I know how to copy text. But the question was not "how do I copy text in 
KDE?", it was "how do I drag and drop text in KDE?". I can drag and drop from 
Kate and OO:org for example, but it doesn't seem to work in Konqueror, for 
example. When I try to drag the selected text, it just selects new text.
