konstruct installation problem.

i want to install kde3.5 on my system.
to do this i first download konstruct and cd to kde/kdebase
run #make install and got the following lines :

root at localhost# pwd
/root/konstruct/kde/kdebase
root at localhost# make install

whats all about ?

README is not well prepared for me cos i have nearly no knowledge about
linux/unix. so called a newbie :)
so please help me how to install kde3.5 using konstruct.
any help will be appreciated :)
