KDE printing problems

If I use the CUPS web interface on http://localhost:631/admin, click "Manage 
Available Printers", then, on either of the two printers click "Configure 
Printer", I get a page that says:

 Error: server-error-service-unavailable

So I'm headed off to the CUPS lists.
