k3b does not find dvd+rx-format

Hi,

Every time I start k3b it complains that it's unable to find dvd+rw-format and 
that I should install the dvd+rw-tools package.

I have installed the dvd+rw-tools package and dvd+rw-format exists in /usr/bin 
and is executable for owner(root) and group(cdrw). I myself belong to the 
group cdrw.

Any suggestion on what could be wrong?
