kmail and gnupg problem

im using kmail-1.7 and i have the latest gnupg-1.9.10 -1mdk  installed 
continues to 
appear a dialog saying that i need gnnupg-1.9 to be able to cache the 
passphrase.
Like i said i habe the latest gnupg installed, so why cant i be able to cache 
the passphrase like in kmail1.6.2 and when sending a message i always need to 
enter the passphrase?
