There's 2 areas that need changing, the file associations and the Magicdev
autostart feature.
The easiest way to change the file associations is just to uninstall Totem,
leaving Kaffeine to take over as the default file association.
The Magicdev autostart feature is where the DVD starts playing automatically
when you enter a DVD in your drive. Unfortunately, there's no easy gui way
of changing this, you need to hack a config file. As root, edit the
file /etc/dynamic/user-scripts/video_dvd.script and add the line:
launch kaffeine $DEV
somewhere before the other players launch commands, but after the bit that
does the drive detection. Note that this is fixed in 10.1.
Cheers!
John.
