how to make KDE faster?

That's sound strange because it took me about 1 hour to install FC1 on
my Laptop and I was basically new to Linux (had FC1 on my desktop at
work maybe for 2 or 3 weeks). I don't know why it took so long but maybe
that's the reason why your system doesn't work perfectly?
