viewing comments with embedded image viewer

Hello all,

I use konqueror 3.1.4 and kde 3.1.4 (as found on suse linux 9.0)

Is it possible to configure the embedded image viewer to display with
the image itself the comments included in the image, like the jpeg, pgm and
png format allow ?

I know it is possible to view the comments (if the file is local) in the popup
balloon, and in external viewers like xv, but xv generates one new process and
two new windows for each image.

Another external image viewer working in daemon mode with a replace image
mode could also be a convenient solution.

Does the `show comment' possibility exist in a later version of konqueror, or
could it be added to a future version ?
