cursor theme problems

I'm using the 'justwhite' cursor theme (configure - mouse/cursor 
theme).  It works great, but after a while I often get the old/normal 
cursor that gets stuck in a random place on the screen.  So I have my 
justwhite cursor which moves with the mouse.  And I have a non-moving 
old cursor stuck on the screen.

  Any ideas why or how to fix?
