mass management of KDE desktops

We have a client who is thikning of deploying 100+ kde desktops. I have test 
the Kiosk feature out but that only would work on a thin client setup right? 
Is it possible to administer a mass number of individual desktops currently?

I know redhat has their setup and so does novell but is there a open source 
solution?
