Hi all,

can someone give me a hint what I shall define in kcontrol as "MS Windows
encoding" so that I can see also german umlauts when looking on W2K servers ?

I could not find information on how the MS server encodes the filenames.
Why do I need to define this ? Isn't that a fixed definition in the SMB
protocol?
As I worked also with NT and other Windoze versions, I can not remember that I
had to define such a thing there. Why do I need that in KDE?
