how to read a jpg attachment

I am trying to open a jpg attachment.  When I click on the attachment, a
window pops up with sav or 'open with' buttons.  what program should I tell
linux to use to read the jpg?

On computer #1 is suse 8.0 with kde 3.0
On computer #2 is Suse 8.2 pro with kde 3.1
