I can understand that. However, when I rolled out a test pilot of KDE 
desktops, the *first* thing we heard on the helpdesk was "Isn't there a newer 
version of KDE?" which was directly resultant from the KMenu leaving off the 
point release.

Granted, I added the info to our knowledgebase, but I think it'd be a decent 
win for a little code
