Yes, as far as I can tell... I checked, if one of the fonts, I listed in
the last mail, are truetype or type1, but they are all .pcf.gz ones - and
they are all over the place: misc, 75dpi, 100dpi, uni, kde3. Just for the
record: I misspelled... it was ETL Fixed.

fc-cache: "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc": skipping, 65 fonts, 0 dirs
As a last resort, I might restore an image... It is not too long ago, that
I upgraded to a bigger harddisk. But on the other hand, I really like to
understand, what went wrong, just in case, it should hit me, or somebody
else, again....
