KMail system notifications

Hello there.

I use kde3.1 on a gentoo1.4(gcc3.2) system with a 2.4.20er kernel; no problems 
so far.

I use Kmail, to retrieve Mails in several Mailboxes and sort; only a few go to 
the inbox. But I don't want a sound event whenever a Mailinglist gets a new 
Message, I just want to be notified, when the Inbox gets a new message. The 
system event notification list for KMail ist quite short. Any workaround or 
clue?
