Empty bookmark toolbar in Konqi

Open konqi, 
click "Bookmarks" -> "Edit Bookmarks"
In the bookmark editor, right-click the folder whose contents 
you want to have in the bookmark toolbar and select "Set as toolbar folder".

That should do the trick.
