KDE with id3lib

Hello all,

I'm using RedHat 8.1 beta with their compiled KDE 3.1. 

They didn't include id3lib during compilation of kdelibs.  I can install 
id3lib, but KFileMetaInfo doesn't generate any meta info about mp3 files 
still.

Do I need to recompile kdelibs to get this to work?  Is there any way to add 
id3lib without recompiling?
