3.1 Konsole font problem

o i have thoughts
it's just that none of them are helpful...
i have EXACTLY the same problem and have had to make due with "courier new" as 
my konsole font 'cause i have no idea how to fix this.

i'm using gentoo with kde 3.1 and i'm just hoping this is something that gets 
magically fixt in 3.1.1
