Xnest -query host :displaynumber
when using XDMCP
I sometimes use Xnest when working with a CVS version of KDE in a separate
user account.
I do
#> Xnest :1
as my normal user
#> su - kde
change in one terminal to my KDE user
#> export DISPLAY=:1
#> startkde
