Hi all

I am using Mandrake 9.1 and having problems with any root password program
from the menu kde->configuration->

I had a bad shut down and ever since when I try to e.g. use the install
software and type in the root's password it comes back with password not
correct (but the password is correct).

But if I su on the bash and rpmdrake from the command line it works fine.

The file parameters for the e.g. rpmdrake are
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           16 May 21 12:02 rpmdrake ->
../sbin/rpmdrake*
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           23 May 21 12:02 rpmdrake-remove ->
../sbin/rpmdrake-remove*

Any advice would help how to set the kde root password if there is such a
thing ? because the root password is working from the console

Cheers
Ian
