Ok...
I guess I didn't look deep enough (I always seem to be replying to my own
emails... *sigh*). The error happens for me because I was using en_US.UTF-8
as my LC_*, LANG and it didn't like the:
@kdeinits = split(/[\034\s]+/, $1);
on line 843 of admin/am_edit.
I switched my back to normal without the UTF-8 and it works fine now.
Not sure if this is the same problem that anyone else had, but now at least I
can compile again :)
