configure kdemultimedia-3.1.4

What Linux distribution are you running?  Some (redhat for example) place KDE in a non default folder so the configure script can't find it.  Search your drive for the kde folder (could be /usr/local/kde or user/local/kde3 for example) then either set an environment variable of $KDEDIR$ to that path or use ./configure --prefix=the/path/you/found/kde/installed/in.
