Editing pane background colour in KWord not configurable ?

Hi all,
I havn't been using KDE long (well, I used to use it years ago, but after a
rough experience with Gnome2 I decided to come back, and pleasantly surprised
by KDE's completeness I am), and I've been playing around with my colour
(color to the americans among us) scheme, I tend to like dark backgrounds and
light text for most things, which is reasonably unusual as prety much
everybody sticks with the standard white background - ick, sunburn city if
you ask me.
Now, all is good, I've set my standard background colour to nice dark colour,
and my text colour to a light one. Of course, when I'm editing code I like
completely the opposite and Quanta is happy to ablige for that.
Now, my problem is with KWord, when I'm editing something that is supposed
to be WYSIWYG I don't want the paper-colour represented by KWord to be my
nice standard mauve background, and the text colour to be white - that's
crazy, it doesn't print mauve out of the printer and I shouldn't see it like
that on screen (not to mention it looks crap). But I don't seem to be able
to find any way of changing that ?!
I've put a screen-grab up so you can see what I'm talking about...

Is there is a way around this or am I doomed to have purple virtual paper ?
