trouble with arts over network

hi,

first my scenario:
One server, no soundcard but 'n' exported X/kde-sessions (hostname server)

'n' thinclients (at the moment only one) with soundcards. (hostname
thinclient)

All machines run debian sid. The thinclintes gets theyr sessions over via
chooser from the remote kdm.

Can anyone tell me how to manage this generally? Are thre any hints fr debain?
I think this is a common sceneario. I think the problem exists betwen chair
and keyboard. Hopably... :)

Thats what i tried.

I switched off arts at the server. (in kcontroll)
.mcoprc contains only
"GlobalComm=Arts::X11GlobalComm"
I start "artsd -n -l 0" at the thinclient. And start the kdesession.

There coms no connection at the artsserver. If i add the option -u the same.

thinclient:~# artsd -n -u -l 0

addDirectory(/usr/lib/mcop,)
addDirectory(/usr/lib/mcop/Arts,Arts)
addDirectory(/root/.mcop/trader-cache,)

If i copy the .mcoprc from server to thinclient i get this error:

There are already artsd objects registered, looking if they are active...
... cleaned 5 unused mcop global references.

Error: Can't add object reference (probably artsd is already running).
If you are sure it is not already running, remove the relevant files:

       /tmp/mcop-root/Arts_SoundServerV2
       /tmp/mcop-root/Arts_SoundServer
       /tmp/mcop-root/Arts_SimpleSoundServer
       /tmp/mcop-root/Arts_PlayObjectFactory
       /tmp/mcop-root/Arts_AudioManager
