ppp error

I'm trying to connect to my isp as a user and my ppp-error log is:

Sep 16 13:27:23 iceport pppd[380]: By default the remote system is required to authenticate itself
Sep 16 13:27:23 iceport pppd[380]: (because this system has a default route to the internet)
Sep 16 13:27:23 iceport pppd[380]: but I couldn't find any suitable secret (password) for it to use to do so.
Sep 16 13:27:23 iceport pppd[380]: (None of the available passwords would let it use an IP address.)
