Konquerer freezes

I am running KDE 2.2.25 under Debian "woody" (kernel 2.2.17).

On some occasions (but today, almost every time) when I try to navigate
through my file system, konqueror freezes. With 'top' I see one or more
copies of kdeinit, and XF86_SVGA popping up and going away every so often.

PID USER PRI NI SIZE RSS SHARE STAT %CPU %MEM TIME COMMAND
  600 kuiper 13 0 7504 7256 6344 R 11.4 9.2 0:06 kdeinit
  507 root 7 -10 9020 6780 2084 S < 11.0 8.6 0:23 XF86_SVGA

Sometimes one of the kdeinits is running. Most of the time they are sleeping.

So far, the only fix is to exit KDE and log in again.

Is it a bug? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks and regards

Tom Kuiper
