Configure Konqueror... -> File Associations

Now click on "image" in the list of Known Types and change the 
Left-Click-Action from "Show file in embedded Viewer" to "Show file in 
extra viewer" (all texts translated from German version, so they might 
be slightly different).

You can also configure this for each image type separately.
