Problems with KDE configuration

I just installed StarOffice 5.2 in my Red Hat 8.0 with KDE 3.0.3 and I have 
configured my KDE as spanish, but now when I start StarOffice I cannot see 
the words with accent, I see everything wrong. ¿ Is this a KDE confiuration 
problems ? ¿ How can I solve it ?
