video viewing in kde

i just want to watch the new lord of the rings trailer in kde.  but it's in 
quicktime format.  i emerged (i'm using gentoo) openquicktime but i still 
can't view it.  when using konqueror, the play, stop etc. buttons appear, but 
no video, and the play is grayed out.  what am i doing wrong?
