Getting all my buttons to work?

I have one of those optical MS intelimouse explorer, with the to extra side 
buttons.
It works like a charm when it comes to point-n-click,scroll and such.
But HOW do i map the two sidebuttons?
I have tried searching the net for the info but found nothing...
I would want to be able to map them to "Back" and "Forward" or maybe a 
key-combination 
How???

Running SuSE 8.0 with X 4.2.0 and KDE 3.0
