problems launching konqueror

Hi List,
I am new to Linux and to this list and am having problems
with Konqueror launching from Kmail or from my panel button.
Using Debian Woody.  KDE 2.2.2   Linux debian 2.2.20-idepci
It is totally random and I can't figure it out.  Searched google
for an hour or so to no avail.    Here is some info:
