Sound Cards ... :(

[Controlroom - JHB]

Can anyone please tell me how I can get a Beep out of my machine through my Sound card?

I did rebuild the kernel etc., but don't know how to link the sb_ess module file to it. 

Where or what am I doing wrong.  In CAOS -> Kernel, I get to add module called sb, but then tells me that the module could not be loaded.
