I was toying around trying to install kde3.05 on my system and had 
nothing but problems (need to separately compile some programs).  I 
know what I was doing wrong in installing 3.05, but I do NOT know how I 
caused the following problem.

- From the desktop.  If I try to logout, instead of returning to the 
login screen, my system shuts down (as in "halt").  What file controls 
the logout system and what should it read as?
