kate version

what's the latest stable available version of kate?  in bugs.kde.org i'm 
seeing references to v4.0 but i'm still using 2.0.  is that the latest stable 
version?  how can i tell?  the reason i ask is that there's a bug listed 
here:

that i have as well that the site says is "fixed".  but if it's fixt and i'm 
running the latest version then why's it still there?  i'm not complaining, 
i'm just confused.

i'm currently running kde-3.0.4
