Alarms don't work

Using the alarm daemon I get a popup but there is no option for sound 
files.  KOrganizer has the option to select a .wav file.  That is what I 
need working.  It seems nuts to have to dual boot just because linux 
schedule software can't play sounds.  Does anyone have this working or 
is it a bug?  If you got it working, did you have to do anything to 
configure it?
