Alarms don't work

Using the alarm daemon I get a popup but there is no option for sound
files. KOrganizer has the option to select a .wav file. That is what I
need working. It seems nuts to have to dual boot just because linux
schedule software can't play sounds. Does anyone have this working or
is it a bug? If you got it working, did you have to do anything to
configure it?
