The parallel ZIP is emulated as SCSI, like drives on USB.
Its realtively simple to use.
You load either the ppa module or the imm module (new ZIP drives).

If you don't have any furtehr SCSI or emulted SCSI devices it gets the 
/dev/sda.

dsa4 measn forth partition on the drive. Usually ZIP Disks are partitioned 
like that.

Anyway, installing hardware would be better suited on a Linux or distribution 
specific mailinglist, not the general KDE one.
