Howzit;
Just a few days ago our jerks in the government sign and issue law about
digital signature. They also show how it working a bit. Issuing authority
verify identity of person and that person gets digital signature data on the
smart card. Is there a development regarding to KMail and GPG (or something
similar) which will make f.g. KMail able to use this signatures, reading keys
from SmartCard?
I also see some open space for development in SmartCard readers which are
necessary to read digital signatures from official cards. Is out there any
resource or discussion connected with KMail and this official approach? Or
once again M$ bought all rights and Just OutLuck (or Outlook?) users will be
able to fulfill officials requirements?
I think that KDE and KMail, Konqueror and KNode combination have pretty bright
future for Inet Cafes. That could be nice for users who don't have access to
the Internet at home go to the public place with SmartCard and send signed
message or identify themselves to the Inet Banking service.
I'm more "C" than "C++" man, but anyway I'm open to contribute if is some
development out there. This could be a big practical issue.
