ctrl-s big piss off in konsole

I hope that was written tongue in cheek.  How would someone new to 
KDE/Gnu/Linux know this, or even know where in the manual to look it 
up?  If you don't know you accidentally hit ctrl+s, how do you know to even 
look up that ctrl+q is the answer?
