Lock screen

System: FreeBSD-4.5
KDE-version: 3.0

My passwords are usually quite long, my longest contains 35 characters, and 
that is why i have problem with locking screen. I cannot unlock screen, it 
seems to me that problem is with dialog box (rather edit box) which allows to 
put no more than 20 characters. Command line kcheckpass works.

I would be very gratefull for any suggestons.
