There was something along this lines on kde-devel this week.
Something about having different applications as a viewer depending on
the protocol the file is viewed over.
Anyway, IMHO this is not the right list for this, I suggest either
kde-cafe or kfm-devel (Konqueror development list).
There are almost no developers reading here.
kde-cafe might be a good compromise, begin read by users as well as
developers.
