Hmm, it changes the caption on my system too.

Anyway, I think you can use a shell sequence to change it as well.
The Changelog mentions something about prompts:

Unfortunately the given sequence doesn't change the title here on my 
KDE2.2.2
But it is mentioned in the section of KDE3 so it might work on a more 
recent KDE.
